Do you have weak or missing teeth? Are you loathe to smile because of the gap in your teeth? Do you have trouble chewing correctly due to missing teeth? Then you may be a candidate for a dental bridge.
This long-term solution to replace loose or missing teeth offers you a way to get rid of gaps in your mouth. This can help maintain your face’s shape, which may begin to droop or shift when you have missing teeth. Bridges also keep your teeth from moving to new positions, which occurs when you lack placeholders in your mouth.
Bridges contain crowns, and they are available in several different types. We provide tooth bridges for our patients in the Fountain Hills and Rio Verde areas.
What Are Dental Crowns?
Dental crowns are caps put over teeth to stabilize or protect them. Often these teeth are decaying or misshapen, and they need extra support to stay in place. Crowns are also placed on top of dental implants when a tooth has been removed entirely. The crowns used by Parkview Dentistry are all exceptionally well made by local laboratories that use the finest materials and equipment. They are made-to-order to give each patient an exact fit.
What Are Dental Bridges?
Dental bridges are just what the name sounds like — they “bridge” a gap between teeth. The bridge consists of crowns placed on the teeth on either side of the gap, and false teeth are set in between for the missing ones. The natural teeth or even an implant provide support to dental bridges.
The three main types of bridges include:
- Traditional bridges
- Cantilever bridges
- Maryland bonded bridges

What Is the Dental Bridge Process Like?
You will need to come into the office at least twice to get your bridge. During the first visit, Dr. Laskis will take impressions and remove some enamel from your teeth to ready them for the crowns. We send the impressions to the lab, and they create a permanent bridge, which we adjust at the next appointment. You will wear this for a few weeks to ensure it fits, and then we cement it permanently into place.
What Does a Dental Bridge Cost?
The cost of your dental bridge will depend on many factors, including how many teeth you have missing and what your insurance company will pay for the procedure. One of our front-desk employees can sit down with you to discuss how much you will owe for a bridge and will calculate your out-of-pocket expense after insurance.
We offer financing plans if you need assistance. You can apply for financing in advance of getting your bridge.
